Aim and Objectives

The EURREC Review of Economic & Social Policy is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal focusing on applied research in the fields of economic policy, social policy, and related areas of public governance.

The primary aim of the journal is to provide a high-quality platform for the dissemination of original research that contributes to the understanding, evaluation, and formulation of economic and social policies at national, regional, and international levels. The journal emphasizes policy relevance, methodological rigor, and practical implications for decision-makers, public institutions, and society.

The journal welcomes theoretical, empirical, and applied contributions addressing, among others, the following topics:

- economic policy and public finance
- social policy and welfare systems
- labor markets and human capital
- demographic change and population economics
- fiscal, monetary, and regulatory policies
- public sector economics and governance
- socioeconomic inequalities and social cohesion
- evidence-based policy design and evaluation

Vision of the Journal

The vision of the EURREC Review of Economic & Social Policy is to become a respected international forum for applied economic and social policy research, bridging academic scholarship and real-world policy challenges.

The journal seeks to foster interdisciplinary dialogue between economists, social scientists, policymakers, and practitioners, while maintaining strict academic standards and ethical principles. By promoting transparency, fairness, and openness, the journal aims to contribute to the credibility and societal relevance of academic publishing in the field of public policy.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are anonymized.

Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Both review reports are communicated to the author, regardless of the final editorial decision.

The peer review process takes approximately three months, depending on the availability of reviewers and the complexity of the manuscript.

Publication Ethics and Journal Values

The EURREC Review of Economic & Social Policy is committed to the highest standards of academic integrity, transparency, and fairness.

The core values of the journal include:

Fairness and integrity
All submissions are evaluated solely on the basis of their scholarly merit, originality, and relevance, without discrimination or conflict of interest.

Transparency
Starting from the fourth issue, the journal will regularly publish editorial statistics, including:

- number of submitted manuscripts
- number of accepted and rejected manuscripts
- acceptance rates
- average duration of the peer review process

Author rights and openness
Authors receive both peer review reports for their submitted manuscripts. The journal applies no submission or publication fees, and no publication charges will be imposed on accepted papers.

Academic responsibility
Each published article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI). The journal is indexed in the DOAJ databaseand adheres to internationally recognized standards of scholarly publishing.

Indexing and Metrics

As a newly established journal, citation metrics and bibliometric indicators (such as impact factor or CiteScore) are not yet available. The editorial board is committed to building the journal’s academic reputation through quality, transparency, and rigorous peer review, with the aim of applying for additional international indexing services in the future.
