Gender differences emerge in primary and secondary education partly because traditional gender roles and stereotypes tend to be reproduced in schools. These differences are then reflected in and further strengthened by the choices made and opportunities open to women and men at the higher levels of education and vocational training. Therefore, it is important to examine whether and how Kosovo attempt to combat these inequalities.Kosovo have designed policy and have supported projects targeting gender inequalities in education and incorporate specific gender equality provisions in legislation or in governmental strategies and make it compulsory for political parties to create their own gender equality policies. In politics are obliged 30% quotas for female places in Assembly, but in other Higher management positions are mostly males, for example in 6 public Universities all rectors and most deans are male. In Higher Education Institutions are two main concerns in Kosovo with respect to gender inequality in higher or tertiary education: horizontal and vertical segregation. Firstly, it is concerned about horizontal segregation, that is, the problem that women and men choose different fields of study in higher education, with women being under-represented in engineering and science. Secondly, it is also concerned about vertical segregation. This problem is related to the currently existing 'glass ceiling' in tertiary education: while women outnumber men amongst higher education graduates. They participation in Higher Education its slightly increased at the doctoral level, and there are even fewer women amongst academic staff in universities, or none of them as Rector but few of them as Vice-Rector at the managerial level in universities. These two issues and the policies intended to deal with them will be discussed in this paper.1)University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina” since 1970, University “Ukshin Hoti” Prizren since 2010, University “Haxhi Zeka” Peja, University “Isa Boletini” Mitrovica, University “Kadri Zeka” Gjilan und University “Fehmi Agani” Gjakova since 2011 Classification-JEL: I24, I28, Z19 Keywords: Gender Equality Policies, Gender Mindset, Kosovo, Gender & Education, Journal: International Journal of Social Sciences Pages: 1-16 Volume: 10 Issue: 1 Year: 2021 Month: March File-URL: https://eurrec.org/ijoss-article-116876 File-URL: https://eurrec.org/ijoss-article-116876?download=1 Handle: RePEc:aop:jijoss:v:10:y:2021:i:1:p:1-16 Template-Type: ReDIF-Article 1.0 Author-Name: Frank Hager Author-Name-First: Frank Author-Name-Last: Hager Author-Email: frank_hager@yahoo.com Author-Workplace-Name: University of Latvia Title: The Impact of Personality Traits on the Burnout promoting Effect of poor Supervisor Support Abstract: The skill of supervisors to provide adequate social support is an indispensable prerequisite for the economic success of the organization. The two-way relationship (dyad) between the leader and the led, is in the focus of this investigation. For this research in the field of social support, the moderating effects of personality traits have been considered. The question arises, as to whether they can compensate or moderate inadequate social support from supervisors and its effects on burnout. The sample comprises of managers in middle management (N=338) from different German automotive suppliers. In the examination, the Survey of Perceived Supervisor Support (SPSS), the German version (MBI-D) of the Maslach Burnout Inventory and the 10-Item Big-Five Inventory (BFI-10) were used. It was postulated that “neuroticism”, “openness” & “conscientiousness” have no, but “extraversion”, “agreeableness” have a moderating effect between “perceived supervisor support” and the three burnout dimensions. After all, no moderating effect for all Big-5 traits was observed. Nonetheless, a negative significant correlation between the personality dimensions “openness” and the MBI dimensions “emotional exhaustion” (r=-.245, p<.05) and “depersonalization” (r=-.301, p<.01) was found. Furthermore, there is a significant connection between “neuroticism” with the MBI dimension of “reduced personal accomplishment” (r=.396, p<.01). Launched by the Republic of Croatia in August 1995, it was the largest European land battle since the Second World War. Outnumbered, outgunned, but not outmaneuvered, this tiny new democracy prevailed in a David versus Goliath encounter, a moral as well as military victory. Storm ended a massive humanitarian disaster and genocide. It led to the liberation of one third of Croatian territory, and made possible the Dayton Agreement that brought peace to the region. Based on interviews conducted with the American Ambassador to Croatia during the war years, military and political principals in the battle, noted scholars, security and intelligence agency officials, humanitarian leaders and journalists, this social scientific qualitative study examines the political and historical origins of the war and its aftermath. The article documents the events leading up to the war and surrounding this extraordinary military operation, providing strategic and political insights into the need for cooperation between democratic allies. Reflections of an ethnography Abstract: As of 2013 in Mexico, the creation, support and development of the LGBT tourist segment were established into the Mexican federal government policies, which has not been consolidated besides lacking of statistical and economic data so its socioeconomic impact is known. The objective of this research is to reflect on the social and economic effect generated by an LGBT friendly tourist destination resulting from the touristic practices that take place in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. This beach destination is considered the most important LGBT tourist destination in the country due to the amount of economic income it generates and the touristic infrastructure that has been developed. Some considerations are made on the relationship between the expenditure generated by tourists and the income received by residents, as well as its socio-environmental impact. The methodology used is of a mixed nature, emphasizing the integration of economic data in a quantitative way besides ethnography carried out in the destination in a qualitative way.The results of this social phenomenon called LGBT Tourism finally unleashed a synergy and power relations between the different actors involved in Puerto Vallarta: government, businessmen, civil associations, residents and to a lesser extent tourist.
